Amy For Africa & No Kid Hungry

This blog post is to raise awareness and seek funding for two excellent foundations. Firstly, it is Amy from Africa. Amy for Africa is an international Christian ministry established in 2013. I am working with an organization for my Honors Capstone project studying malnutrition of children in Uganda. I have learned so much about these children's daily lives through Amy and her excellent program. I have received photos of the children and families making meals. Amy said most of their meals consist of a cup of porridge or beans and posho. Specifically stating, "That cup of porridge is the only meal some of them will have for the day or a few days. You can't even comprehend the suffering these kids endure. A plate of food is only $0.33, but they don't even have that." My goal is to help raise even a small amount to make a difference in the lives of these children. A GoFundMe page has been set up to try to help the Ugandan children and Amy, whose mission is to provide them with high-quality education and knowledge of God's word.

Secondly, another organization I wanted to shine a spotlight on is No Kid Hungry. This is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to trying to reduce hunger throughout the United States. Their organization says, "A gift of $1 can help provide 10 meals to hungry kids*, but that's not the only way to help. You can get involved in many ways - join us in our fight to help end child hunger in America now." So many children are struggling with malnutrition around us today, and my goal is to raise awareness of these fantastic programs with the potential of helping even one child. At the end of this blog post will be two links one for a GoFundMe page for Amy for Africa and for No Kid Hungry, where a donation can also be made. Thank you!
