Summer Grilling Tips

During summer, grilling is a popular way to cook meals. Luckily, grilling can lead to a lot of different healthy options. Incorporating fruits and vegetables in grilled meals adds a lot of vitamins and minerals. One way to add fruits and vegetables is to make kabobs. Kabobs can be made with many different marinated vegetables, or even with different types of fruit in order to make a dessert. Another healthy grilling option is to use portobello mushrooms in order to replace meat. Aside from fruits and vegetables, though, meat can still be a part of a grilled meal. One important thing to remember when cooking meat is to choose wisely. Leaner cuts of beef, pork, chicken, and fish are some healthier alternatives to other meats; just make sure a thermometer is used to check the temperature of the meat, and keep the meat separate from ready-to-eat foods. If all of these tips are kept in mind, grilling can lead to a fun and healthy summer!
