Many people know that eating whole grains is part of a healthy diet, but do you know why?
They provide beneficial things for the body such as vitamins, minerals and nutrients. Did you know they also help protect the body from harmful diseases? The dietary fiber found in whole grains help protect the body from heart disease, cancer, and diabetes. These are some of the leading causes of death in today's society. To make sure the foods you are chosing are whole grain check the label for whole-grain flour or whole-wheat flour. By adding whole grain to your diet you are helping your body in many ways.
