The Ashland University Student Dietetic Association received word that they are now recognized as a fully-chartered university organization. This is a tremendous accomplishment for all those individuals involved with this association. The student senate voted unanimously to approve the AUSDA's application and had nothing but praise and complimentary comments concerning the professionalism and organization of this student group. Obtaining full-charter status will allow the AUSDA to begin fund raising efforts to support student travel to professional conferences, guest speakers, and community programming. This is quite an accomplishment for a newly developed Dietetics program, just beginning its second year!! The next AUSDA meeting will be held on October 12 @ 9:00 PM in the Kates Lounge. All are welcome. Exciting times indeed!!
