Incorporating Whole Grains Into Your Diet

Two types of grains include whole grains and refined grains. Incorporating whole grains into your diet is important because they have many health benefits. They provide vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and dietary fiber. Dietary fiber is important to include into meals because it can help reduce your risk of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and other health problems. The most important tip in finding whole grains is to check the product label. Checking the ingredient list allows you to see if the product was made with whole-wheat flour or another type of whole grain. Foods like breads, bagels, and pastas can be made with whole-grain ingredients, while other grains, such as buckwheat, bulgur, quinoa, and whole rye and barley can be fun to experiment with when cooking in order to include some different types of whole grains. Incorporating whole grains into your diet can be a very simple and beneficial thing to do!
