Foods to Add to Your Diet

Most people are aware that the foods they chose to eat effect their health for better or worse. Check out these foods that are shown to improve your health and help you live a longer, healthier life.

Avocado- 
Avocados are full of monounsaturated fats which are helpful in decreasing inflammation in the body. They are also rich in folate, which is helpful for DNA repair. Add avocado to salads, tacos, or spread mashed avocado on whole grain bread instead of mayonnaise, to add more to your diet.

Pomegranate- 
The seeds of this fruit are full of antioxidants. The seeds also provide fiber, folate, and vitamin C to the diet. To incorporate pomegranate into your diet add the seeds to salads, yogurt, or top your oatmeal with them.


Salmon-  
A food high in omega-3 fatty acid. Omega-3 fatty acids protect the body against cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer’s among others. To incorporate salmon into your diet, try adding salmon to your spinach salad or in an omelet at breakfast.
