Is Honey Healthy?

Is honey good for you? Honey is 70 to 80 % sugar and the rest of it is made up of water and sugary tasting minerals. Honey contains monosaccharaides including glucose, fructose, and also has minerals like iron, calcium, phosphate, sodium chlorine, potassium, magnesium.  

Honey has a long history. Honey has been mentioned in Greek, Roman, Vedic, and Islamic texts and has been used by ancient philosophers and scientists for health benefits. Honey has antiseptic and antibacterial properties that have been used to help those with chronic wounds. But what exactly are the health benefits of eating honey? More research needs to be done to find out honey’s health benefits.
