Dr. David Vanata Receives Study Grant to Conduct Research on Fish Consumption

Dr. David Vanata, Director of Dietetics and Associate Professor of Foods and Nutrition, was awarded a research grant of $19,800.00 from the National Fisheries Institute. The title of his project is Increasing Fish Consumption Among College-Aged Students: Identification of Perceived Benefits, Risks, and Barriers. This study will be conducted in several phases and will be concluded by the middle of next year. This study will provide some dietetics students with the opportunity to become involved in various facets of this project. Look for upcoming results to be announced as the project moves forward.
