My sister who is getting married next month tried the diet regimen and lost a great number of pounds. She attributed the weight loss to the non-consumption of sugar during days on the diet, calorie counting, portion control and the set meals. Also there's no need to buy expensive food or cook heavily during the low carb diet. Everything is measured out and you eat mostly greens, fresh fruits and lean meat. You can also eat yogurt, which is a favorite of my sister.
